How an invoice gets fiscalised

   Ring it up. The till builds the invoice in MRA’s standard format, sealed with its own counter and the fingerprint of the previous invoice.

   Sent in real time. It goes, encrypted, to MRA’s Invoice Fiscalisation Platform under that till’s own registered ID.

   MRA registers it. MRA records the sale and returns an Invoice Registration Number and a QR code.

   Hand it over. The receipt prints with the QR code. Your customer can scan it to check the sale was registered.

If the internet drops, sales keep their sequence and are sent to MRA automatically once you’re back online.

What you’ll need

• Your Business Registration Number (BRN)
• Your VAT registration number, if you are VAT-registered
• Legal name, trade name and the address of each shop
• MRA’s notification letter on e-invoicing, if you have one
• Your MRA online account: you do this yourself; we never ask for your password
• A list of tills and cashiers
• Your product list: barcodes, units and VAT treatment
• A reliable internet connection and a receipt printer that can print the QR code

We design each system to MRA’s published e-invoicing specifications. Before it can issue a single fiscal invoice, it must be tested on MRA’s e-Invoicing Developer Portal, its supplier must be registered with MRA as an EBS Solution Provider, and your business must onboard it on the MRA e-Invoicing Portal. MRA does not certify billing software; providers self-certify against its specifications. E-invoicing dates and obligations are set by the MRA.
